Band
created more than ten years ago. From their beginning
they devoted themselves only to play rock and
roll live. Quite veterans, and with many a gig
at every kind of bar behind them, they've been
increasing the number of members until today.
With ages ranging from early twenties to over
fifty, their current line-up is as follows:
-
Javier Despreciable: lead vocals, tambourine,
showman.
- Mauri Despreciable: keyboards, vocals, sexy
show.
- Fernando Despreciable: bass and (sadly) backing
vocals, near the end. He's also a great in-shore
fisherman.
- Cutu Despreciable. Drums, smoker, deliberate.
(I heard this line in a movie: "If men are
from Mars and women from Venus
drummers
are from Pluto")
- Ana Despreciable: lead and backing vocals, and
she's very nice (seriously)
- Yoly Despreciable: lead and backing vocals and
the soul of the South.
- Inma Despreciable. I don't know what she exactly
does, but she's there.
- Andrea Despreciable: lead and backing vocals.
Little by little. She's at it.
- Ramón Despreciable: sound and criticism.
Without him, the band is usually crap.
- Juan Antonio Despreciable: guitar. He's over.
- Josele Despreciable: guitar, lead vocals, and
he can sell you a cottage.
- Seni Despreciable: guitar, some "I'm the
Man" singing. He suffers a lot of bad TV.
All
of them form LOS DESPRECIABLES, a band that, probably,
has one of the best repertoires ever: LAYLA, THE
WEIGHT, SWEET HOME ALABAMA, ROCK THIS TOWN, COME
TOGETHER
these are just a tiny part of the
songs played during the two and half hours of
their gigs.
From
Eric Clapton to Lenny Kravitz, Ten Years After,
The Who, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Chuck Berry
Right to the core!
LOS
DESPRECIABLES use:
Bass: Benavente 5 string. Guitars: Fender Stratocaster,
Gibson SG and 335, Ibanez s-44°. Amps: Marshall,
Music Man, Engl. Drums: Ludwig. Keyboards: Roland.
Onstage extra gear: Cacique, Beer, Lagavulin 16
years, Grilled red meat, Tambourines Domínguez
and Artison picks, n.19.
You'll
find much more information at the different sections
of the individual DESPRECIABLES, as well as a
biography at Javier's section.
At
the live gigs section you have some videos and
MP3.
And,
as somebody said when asked about his ideal audience:
"quite intelligent, quite sincere
and
quite drunk". OK.
